This afternoon, after Ricky got home from work, we decided to take a little ride around and enjoy some of the sights in the area (and to help get Andee a nap..lol). We took a left, then a right, then veered right, then left, and on and on. We have a TomTom, so we weren't worried about where we'd end up. We took a turn and headed down a long, narrow, paved road towards the ocean. What beautiful, and humbling, places we stumpled upon! Most of the home places we saw, unfortunately, were no longer home places. Four years after Katrina showed its ugly face, the area still tells the story of the horrible storm. There is many, many houses rebuilt on the road, but so many places still untouched after being cleaned up from the storm. Hundreds of for sale signs are posted every 100 feet or so. I took a few pictures along the beach, but one tells its own story. I hope you enjoy the picture.
